Division Chief of CICU Clinician Educator - CHOP
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Critical Care with a focus on Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Medicine. The selected candidate will also serve in the role of Division Chief of Cardiac Critical Care Medicine at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be ABP certified/board-eligible and eligible for medical licensure in Pennsylvania. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Teaching responsibilities may include developing systems for mentoring faculty and staff in the division to promote productive, rewarding careers and academic advancement.
Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of clinical cardiac critical care and medical direction in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The Division Chief oversees the clinical activities of the Division and coordinates with leaders across the enterprise to optimize clinical operations.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include substantial commitment to research and evidence of continuous scholarly productivity reflecting a defined focus is required.
