The MD program at Texila American University is designed to transform students into expert medical professionals who can meet the evolving challenges of the healthcare industry.

The programme

TAU's Doctor of Medicine degree program is a four-year course that provides students the opportunity to learn medicine in a state-of-the-art MD school in the Caribbean. The innovative curriculum of this Caribbean MD program integrates basic science with clinical skills to create an incredible learning experience for medical students. The main features of the course are:

To create competent, compassionate and sensitive doctors
To impart thorough knowledge about Basic Science subjects during the first two years
To create a solid foundation for clinical science in the last two years

Applicants to the MD program are expected to have a minimum of 90 college-level credits or equivalent education with the following required courses:

One year of Inorganic or General Chemistry (with labs)
One year of Organic Chemistry (with labs)
One year of General Biology (with labs)
One year of Physics (with labs)
One year of English
Pre-Calculus/Calculus or Statistics
