Overview

The Doctor of Professional Practice in Sport programme at Leeds Beckett University aims to support experienced professionals working within sport to develop evidence-led solutions to their ‘real world’ workplace problems and gain a formal qualification at the same time.

Aims

Evaluate theoretical aspects of expertise that allows you to benchmark your current practices and future aspirations within your industry
Explore your current professional practices to identify potential problems within your role
Understand the research process, to apply creative thinking, to solve your practical based problems
Develop communication skills that allows the submission of work for publication
Make an original contribution to the enhancement of professional practice within your field

Admission requirements

Academic requirements

We are not aware of any specific GRE, GMAT or GPA grading score requirements for this programme.

English requirements

IELTS: 7

Other requirements

General requirements

Qualifications – Undergraduate degree plus postgraduate qualification
Work Experience – A minimum of 3 years applied experience working within sport
Non-English speaking countries - An overall IELTS score of 7 with no individual sub-score below 6.5

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees are shown in AUD and the most likely applicable fee is shown based on your nationality.

Domestic tuition fee applies to citizens or residents: 6,564 AUD / year ≈ 3,500 GBP / year

Additional Details

5th year writing up fee of £500 if required.

Living costs

Leeds, United Kingdom — 1,195-2,068 AUD / month

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.
