The driver is responsible for the safe operation of University-owned buses and/or vans in the transportation of athletic teams being transported to University-related functions, and for routine care of the buses and/or vans. Responsible for pre-trip inspection, check tires, all fluids, fueled, and clean. Primary Duties Drive athletic teams safely to their destination and back. Pre-trip inspections of Bus or Van. Check that tires are safe to drive and adequately filled with air. Check fluids in the Bus or Van and fill when needed. Fuel Bus or Van. Make sure vehicles are clean and ready for departure. Ancillary Duties Other duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator or Director of Athletics. Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Unrestricted CDL with air brake endorsement. Able to drive passenger van and school bus. One (1) year of experience driving passenger van and school bus. Preferred Qualifications Able to drive tour bus.
