JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a Drosophila Research Technician to support the NIDA research project at the Institute for Human Genetics.
JOB DUTIES
60% - Perform behavioral phenotypic analysis on Drosophila at different ages under standard culture conditions.
40% - Assist staff scientists, postdoctoral researchers and graduate students as time allows. This will entail maintaining Drosophila stocks, collecting samples for next generation sequencing, and performing phenotypic assays

Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience in a clinical or research setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range 37200 - 42457
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations - Required to follow emergency facility closure and modified operations directives, and not normally expected to work on-site during emergency situations.
