Researcher
Applications are invited for a Psychology Research Fellow (Grade 8 or Grade 9, depending on experience) within the Centre for Psychological Research at Oxford Brookes University.
This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding early-career researcher to establish and develop a sustainable, independent research programme through a three-year Research Fellowship. We are seeking driven researchers with a strong and growing track record who will enhance and extend the Centre’s existing research strengths.
Applicants’ research should complement our current portfolio while also offering clear opportunities to expand our expertise, foster new collaborations, and contribute to the Centre’s strategic priorities.
We particularly welcome applications aligned with one or more of our research groups:
- Developmental Psychology
- Health Behaviour and Wellbeing
- Applied Social and Cultural Psychology
- Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience
The Fellowship provides long-term, flexible support to enable the transition to research independence. Fellows benefit from:
- Protected time to develop an independent research programme
- High-quality professional development and mentoring
- Networking opportunities within and beyond the University
- Competitive internal pump-priming and research funding
Research within the Centre for Psychological Research is supported by centralised research governance and commercialisation services, and the Centre plays an active role in cross-departmental and interdisciplinary research networks across the University.
How to apply
Please submit your application via the 'Apply' button above including:
- A cover letter
- A full academic CV
- A three-year research plan outlining your strategy for developing a successful independent research programme
