EMBRACE is a visionary, multicomponent International research programme, the first of its kind in the world, supported by Inkfish with £35M core funds over six years, starting in April 2025. It is a global study of 60,000 participants, including 20,000 mothers, 20,000 infants and up to 20,000 partners. It brings together world-leading clinician scientists across six distinguished Healthcare organisations, world-leading AI & technology companies, together with premier biotech companies, with the overarching aim to fast track major scientific breakthroughs, revolutionise maternal and early childhood health through precision-personalised interventions, powered by a groundbreaking symbiosis of cutting-edge AI combined with human support.

About The Role

The post holder will join the EMBRACE programme led by Professor Josip Car. The Delivery Manager is responsible for successfully delivering projects within the EMBRACE programme of research.

The Delivery Manager will manage projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders. They are also responsible for tracking progress and adjusting as needed to keep the projects on track.

The post holder will work closely with clinicians, researchers, data scientists, behavioural scientists, digital health specialists, and international collaborators across EMBRACE partner sites to successfully deliver projects.

This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the world’s largest and most ambitious maternal and child health research programmes, working at the intersection of fetal medicine, maternal health, digital health, population health, and artificial intelligence.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed-term contract until 07/06/2029.

Please note this role will be based in Addison House, Guys Campus & Denmark Hill.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

  • A recognised project management or change management qualification eg Prince2, PROSCI
  • Demonstrable skills and experience of project management tools and techniques including scoping, business case development, planning, controls & reporting, risk management, benefits management
  • Extensive experience working as a Delivery/Project Manager in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment, with demonstrable experience of delivering successful projects that achieve tangible outcomes and benefits
  • Strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise and interpret information and communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent IT skills to support project delivery eg MS Office suite, Sharepoint and MS Teams, PowerBI, project management, presentation software
  • Experience of engaging and motivating teams, with an ability to liaise effectively with colleagues from different professional backgrounds
  • Adaptability and flexibility to work across multiple areas in a complex and fast-paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity and complexity.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of process review and improvement methods eg Lean Six Sigma
  • Experience of using Microsoft Project & other digital planning tools
  • Knowledge & understanding of the UK Higher Education sector
