Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Engagement and Events Coordinator to join Office of the Executive Dean, Faculty of Business and Law.

The Engagement and Events Coordinator leads the Faculty of Business and Law's program of targeted engagement events and activities and operational coordination of the Faculty engagement and events budget. The role combines specialist events expertise with budget ownership, analysis and a direct advisory remit, exercising substantial judgement over how engagement resources are prioritised and deployed in support of the Faculty's strategic priorities. The position works across the Faculty — with Schools, professional services teams and central portfolios such as Marketing and Communications and Business Development — reconciling competing demands into a single, coherent Faculty-wide engagement program. The role collaborates with the Engagement and Events Officer as part of an integrated events and engagement function.

What you need to succeed

Education, training and/or experience equivalent to a degree with a subsequent relevant experience in events, engagement or program coordination.
Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating and delivering events and engagement activities aligned with strategic priorities, including managing competing demands and collating, analysing and applying data, reporting and evaluation outcomes to inform decision-making, performance improvement and future planning.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to build productive partnerships and work collaboratively across diverse stakeholder groups to achieve shared outcomes and navigate competing interests.
Experience in the operational coordination of budgets, including forecasting, expenditure monitoring and resource allocation to achieve timely outcomes within available resources.
Highly developed written communication skills, including the development of timely, targeted, engaging content and communication materials for internal and external audiences across a range of channels.
Proficiency in the use of digital systems and technology to support event management, communications, reporting and stakeholder relationship management.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
