English Language Teachers

Dalian Maritime University (DMU) is inviting applications from qualified professionals to join us as English Language Teachers.

Responsibilities

• Work five days a week, with an average of 18 teaching hours per week in accordance with the university calendar during the contract period.
• Teach courses in oral, writing, listening and reading English or Japanese and assess students’ performance.
• Participate in regular meeting focused on teaching methodologies organized by the School of Foreign Languages.
• Support academic activities such as organizing workshops, delivering seminars for staff and students, and assisting with related events at DMU.

Required Qualifications

• A BA degree and at least one year of overseas ESL/EFL teaching experience.
• One of the following educational backgrounds: a BA in ELT; a BA in TEFL/TESL or a closely related field (e.g. Applied Linguistics); at least four additional years of ESL/EFL experience if the above degrees are not met.

Preferred Qualifications

• an MA in TEFL/TESL or Applied Linguistics; a full-time, one-academic-year postgraduate diploma in TEFL/TESL from a recognized university, with at least two years of overseas ESL/EFL teaching experience.

• Salary: Determined based on qualifications and experience; salary is paid during winter and summer holidays.
