Environmental Health and Safety Assistant
Assists with the repair, preparation, and annual inspections of the fire alarm systems and elevators.
JOB DUTIES
- Assists with inspecting fire alarm components for the purpose of annual certification, evaluating condition, and identifying necessary repairs.
- Assists with inspecting elevators and their components for the purpose of annual certification, evaluating condition, and identifying necessary repairs.
- Assists with regular inspections of fire extinguishers to ensure proper functionality, appropriate placement, and compliance with fire and life safety codes.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.
- Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.
- Performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION
Required: High School Diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE
Required: No previous experience.
Preferred: 1 month to 6 months.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required: Understands and complies with all safety and risks issues associated with working with live electrical circuitry.
