While both tenure and clinician-educator track faculty conduct methodological and collaborative research, tenure track faculty focus primarily on methodological research while clinician-educator track faculty focus primarily on collaboration. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Teaching responsibilities may include participation in departmental PhD, MSCE, and MS training programs. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in clinical research, contributing expertise in study design and data analysis, and providing essential leadership to many of the clinical research programs at Penn Medicine. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing an independent, extramurally funded research program and/or serving as a key scientific collaborator in team-based science.
