External Reporting and Data Quality Officer

Analyse, validate and maintain institutional data, ensuring it is accurate, reliable and fit for reporting purposes

Investigate and resolve data quality issues, helping to improve the integrity and consistency of information across the organisation

Collaborate with academic and professional service teams to support effective data management and reporting practices

Produce and contribute to management information that supports operational planning and strategic decision making

Assist with the development and maintenance of reporting processes, documentation and quality assurance activities

Monitor compliance with reporting requirements and contribute to the successful delivery of regulatory deadlines

Develop expertise in Higher Education data, reporting requirements and sector best practice while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

About You

• Have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high quality work
• Enjoy working with data and have the ability to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement
• Possess strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and explain information clearly and effectively
• Be confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and comfortable working with databases and information systems
• Demonstrate a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving
• Build positive working relationships and work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Show initiative, adaptability and a willingness to learn new systems, processes and regulatory requirements
• Bring experience of data administration, validation or reporting activities
