Our Team:
The College of Business Facilities Department serves the Johnson School, Nolan School, and the Dyson School. We oversee the operation, management, and repair of the College's facilities located in Warren, Statler, and Sage Halls on the Ithaca NY campus. We also oversee the operation and management of the College's facilities located on the Cornell Tech campus and at 570 Lexington Avenue in New York City.
Some of our duties include operational budgeting, managing physical access to our facilities, supporting academic and research activities, event management, and interactions with internal and external facilities support providers.
This Position:
Reporting to the Director of Facilities and as part of the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, the Dyson Facilities Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for both space assignments, building access and facilities coordination. The Facilities Coordinator will work closely with the leadership of the Dyson School and the Director of Facilities within the college in recommending office space assignments and handling all incoming space requests. This will include all faculty/staff assignments and the high volume of academic visitors. The Facilities Coordinator will maintain accurate records of all office space assignments in Dyson's portion of Warren Hall needed for tracking and reporting purposes. The Facilities Coordinator will also handle facilities issues related to the arrival and departure of faculty and staff. This includes but is not limited to coordinating office moves, furniture moves, door access and coordinating with College of Business IT for computer set-ups. The position is also responsible for inventory management and procurement of furniture in the Dyson space.
Finally, the position serves as the primary point of contact for all facilities maintenance requests and building care services. The incumbent will meet regularly with CU building care and CALS maintenance coordinators to ensure that the facilities are kept safe, clean, comfortable, and in good repair. Work with CALS and Dyson's Registrars to ensure there is building care coverage for all College events held in Warren Hall. This position will also assist other College of Business Facilities Team members as needed with projects, events or other duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Must have the ability to interact and communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all levels of administration, faculty, staff, visitors and guests.
- Trade/Vocational/Technical School
- At least 4 years to 6 years of relevant work experience
- Be service driven while demonstrating great flexibility with the rapidly changing needs of the building occupants and physical plant operations.
- Possess computer skills to confidently operate software such as Outlook (e-mail), Word, Excel and other custom operating programs once fully trained.
- Excellent written communications skills, as this person is expected to work and think independently must be able to clearly and concisely communicate outstanding items to incoming shifts.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Maximo and Team Dynamics (TDX) ticketing systems, OfficeSpace space management, FM:Interact Integrated Workplace Management System, AccessIT! card access, and Perspective Video Management System.
