Job Description
The Facilities Operations Specialist 2 is responsible for the development, oversight, and delivery of the renovation and restoration maintenance program for the Office of Student Life. This position utilizes general industry knowledge and professional experience in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to serve as repair, inspection, and training Specialist for renovation and restoration of building systems and processes across Student Life facilities. This position is also a hands-on position requiring renovation, water damage remediation, carpentry, painting, and plastering aptitude coupled with excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. This position is responsible for assisting to develop and oversee the planned and reactionary maintenance program for building systems and related systems; acts as the water damage mitigation specialist for Student Life facilities, including conducting quality assurance reviews; oversees the training of technicians to ensure competencies in all facets of work; assumes management duties for the department when the Area Operations manager is not present. The Facilities Operations Specialist typically works from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days and/or location as operations dictate, and is subject to 24-hour call in.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience. 2-4 years of relevant building renovation and restoration and maintenance experience; valid driver’s license; ability to lift 70 lbs.; available for 24-hour call ins; experience using CMMS systems to include creation of planned/scheduled maintenance events; experience and competency in planning, scheduling, and execution of building finish systems and decorum repairs and replacements to ensure consistent delivery of service; computer literacy and ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders via email and other methods; hiring and managing vendors and a high competency in documentation of events and record keeping.
Desired: 2-4 years relevant water damage restoration and remediation experience; working knowledge and experience training technicians in both, technical and customer service-related skills. Mold awareness, prevention and remediation certifications and willingness to obtain those determined to be applicable.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $28.22 - $37.12 based on education and experience. This position is eligible for weekend and shift premiums as applicable.
