Background of the recruitment and description of the project
Faculty of Engineering Sciences (FES), Kyushu University, has produced numerous world-leading research results in energy science-related fields, contributing to the development of an advanced information society and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The person in this position will be responsible for research and education in the Fundamental Plasma physics and Fundamental Plasma Engineering (tentative name, newly established,) in FES. Furthermore, based on plasma physics, the person will play a central role in organically connecting various fields within FES.

Specialties: Fundamental Plasma physics and Fundamental Plasma Engineering
Teaching Responsibilities: Undergraduate and graduate lectures, including international course lectures (English), and KIKAN education courses for undergraduate students.
Duties related to the management and operation of Faculty of Engineering Sciences, the Faculty of Engineering, and the entire university.

- Annual salary: 7 million yen
- Wages description: Salary: The annual salary system, which was introduced on 1st April 2020, will be applied. The annual salary is determined under the university’s pay scale based on experience.
- Working hours: 08:30-17:15
- Break time: 12:00-13:00
- Holidays: Every Saturday and Sunday, national holidays, and other days as specified (e.g., New Year's holiday).
- Overtime and other explanations: Based on the agreement, the employee is considered to work under the Discretionary Labor System for professional work (7 hours and 45 minutes per day as deemed working hours).
- Kyushu University allows the employee to engage in their work, while leaving it to their discretion to decide the means and the allotment of time for performing the work, and regarding them as working for the prescribed number of working hours (7 hours and 45 minutes).
