Tenure-track position in Korean Church History / Pastoral Theology (Public Theology): Yonsei University, South Korea
The College of Theology & the United Graduate School of Theology (UGST), Yonsei University, South Korea, seeks to appoint an excellent academic at a tenure-track Professor level (Assistant or Associate) who is a specialist in Korean Church History, Pastoral Theology (Public Theology). Applicants should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have a strong commitment to excellent research, teaching, and service. The successful applicant will be expected to teach 6 credits (2 classes) per semester, at both undergraduate and graduate levels, starting from March 1st, 2027; engage in research and supervise postgraduate students; and will have a chance to teach and supervise international graduate students in the Global Institute of Theology (GIT) (affiliated with UGST) in which a variety of international graduate students are studying at Th.M. and Ph.D. levels. Applicants must also be able to teach at both the Sinchon and International campuses.
A competitive candidate is expected to have a demonstrated publication record of two or more A&HCI/SSCI articles appropriate at either Assistant or Associate Professor level (one of the articles may be replaced with an international scholarly monograph). Fluency in English is required to teach courses in English at both the Sinchon and International campuses. Applicants must be ordained clergy.
