Department: Theatre and Film
Salary: $8.25 per hour (max. 20 hours per week)
Schedule: Varies, based on the students’ class schedule
Position Summary: Develops and manages digital content to promote the Theatre & Film department, its productions, and student work across approved digital platforms.
Must be eligible for Federal Work Study. If uncertain of eligibility, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule social media content
- Capture photo and video content from rehearsals and events
- Maintain brand consistency across platforms
- Collaborate with department design workflows
- Assist with additional theatre production and facility tasks as assigned by the Technical Director after primary weekly responsibilities have been completed.
Weekly Deliverables:
- Weekly content calendar
- Minimum of 1–2 published posts or videos
- Engagement metrics report with basic analytics
- Organized archive of captured media
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing social media accounts
- Familiarity with photo/video editing software
- Previous marketing, communications, or content creation experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Reliable weekly availability
- Professional communication and conduct
- Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least six (6) hours per fall or spring semester. (Requirements for international students below. *)
- If not a first-time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
- Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJaxState.
- Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.
- May not be a Dual Enrollment Student.
