Job Summary
The student worker will assist the Head Volleyball Coach and student athletes with daily program operations. Responsibilities include support during practices, game days, and team-related activities to ensure smooth functioning of the volleyball program.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach during practices, including helping with drills and equipment.
- Prepare, set up, and take down equipment for practices and games.
- Manage team laundry, uniforms, and gear as directed.
- Fill and distribute water bottles for practices, games, and travel.
- Assist with food orders and distribution for team activities.
- Support game day operations, including setup, take down, and crowd management if needed.
- Keep in-game and practice statistics as assigned.
- Maintain all work areas (locker room, gym space, storage areas) in a clean and organized manner.
- Be dependable, punctual, and uphold confidentiality.
- Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with coaches, players, staff, and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 and be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours.
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of volleyball or willingness to learn basic sport operations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in athletics or team management is helpful but not required.
- Must comply with Family Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) confidentiality.
