How you'll make an impact
As Finance and Compliance Advisor, you'll provide trusted financial advice and support that enables informed decision-making and strong financial governance across the Centre.
You'll:
- Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Prepare and monitor financial transactions, journals, invoicing and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Research Council (ARC), funding body and University requirements.
- Identify financial risks, resolve discrepancies and maintain high-quality financial records.
- Partner with stakeholders to build financial capability and strengthen understanding of financial processes and responsibilities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery, efficiency and data quality.

You'll bring:
- Qualifications in finance, accounting, business or a related discipline.
- Experience analysing financial data and preparing accurate reports that support compliance and decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity.
- Experience providing customer-focused financial support and advice to a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and corporate finance or enterprise systems.
Experience within higher education, research environments or knowledge of ARC funding requirements will be highly regarded.
