As Finance Officer for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine (CVMed), you will play a key role in managing the Division’s financial operations. As a core member of our friendly team of Finance professionals, you will be responsible for ensuring financial transactions and day-to-day financial activities are processed and recorded accurately, and provide a comprehensive purchasing service to University administered research groups and core staff within the division.
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include purchasing, invoices, expenses, invoicing and credit card activity, as well as contributing to month-end routines, such as accruals and prepayments. As Finance Officer you will have the opportunity to build strong working relationships, resolve queries, and continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.
About you
You will be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), and hold previous experience of working in a finance role, alongside experience of delivering key financial tasks (e.g., month end, preparation of budgets and following core operational processes). Excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills, including the ability to proactively organise your workload and prioritise tasks to meet competing deadlines, are also essential. Experience using the Oracle Financial system, and experience of providing supervision and support to team members will be an advantage.
