Classification Title: Temporary-Skilled Trades
Working Title: Fire/Life Safety Special Events - EMT
Work Schedule: As needed (primarily) utilized for home football games
Minimum Experience/Education: High School diploma or GED , minimum of one(1) year experience in responding to fire and/or medical incidents in a volunteer and/or paid position, N.C. EMT certification required with Wake County EMS affiliation (no exceptions) , Haz-Mat Operation plus certification preferred, and NIMS 300 preferred. N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation required.
Department Required Skills: Physically able to provide emergency medical care to the sick or injured that requires ifting, moving, physical agility etc;, physically able to climb steep steps multiple times if required, physically able to carry a medical bag with supplies to provide medical care.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Training in Special Event populations, experience with patient triage in large scale events.
Required License or Certification: N.C. EMT Certification with Wake County EMS affiliation
