Fire Safety Specialist II
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections of campus buildings and facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update campus fire safety policies, procedures, and emergency action plans.
- Coordinate and conduct fire drills, evacuation exercises, and fire safety training for students, faculty, and staff.
- Investigate fire incidents, alarms, and false alarms to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee the maintenance, testing, and inspection of fire protection systems, including alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and emergency lighting.
- Serve as a liaison with local fire departments and regulatory agencies on matters related to fire safety and compliance.
- Review construction and renovation plans for fire safety requirements and participate in project inspections.
- Maintain detailed records of fire safety activities, inspections, trainings, and incident reports.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise on fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and code compliance to the campus community.
- Assist with risk assessments and recommend improvements to enhance campus fire safety
