Foreign Teacher Recruitment Notice at Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology
Jiangxi Institute of Fashion Technology (JIFT) is a professional institute characterized by clothing education and oriented to the fashion industry, which focuses on cultivating high-level professionals in creative design, engineering technology, market promotion and management. The school was founded in 1991, and upgraded to a full-time undergraduate institute authorized by the Ministry of Education of China. In 2015, it was selected as one of the first pilot colleges for transformation and development in Jiangxi Province. In 2020, it passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education, and in 2021, it was approved as a construction unit for the “Fourteenth Five Year Plan” master’s degree authorization project in Jiangxi Province.
Due to the development needs of the school, we plan to recruit several foreign English teachers.
1. Application requirements
- Teachers have native English-speaking nationality and be under 55 years of age;
- Teachers have a bachelor’s degree or above, and have at least two years of language teaching experience;
- Teachers are required to obtain internationally accepted language teaching qualifications, such as TEFL, TESL, TESOL and other internationally accepted language teaching qualifications, majoring in English education, linguistics, literature, pedagogy, British and American cultural studies or other related majors, able to teach courses such as “Intercultural Communication”, “English Composition”, “English Country Profiles”, “Business English”, “International Business Etiquette”, “International Business Negotiations” and other courses.
2. Job Duties
- Complete a workload of at least 20 class hours per week.
- Assist Chinese teachers in solving problems encountered in teaching and research.
- Guide students to participate in English-related competitions.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities such as weekly teaching group discussion and English corner.
3. Treatment
Provide competitive salary in the region: RMB 13,000 – 18,000.
4. Accommodation conditions
The school provides a set of one-bedroom on-campus accommodation for free, with furniture, bedding, washing machine, TV, induction cooker, refrigerator, air conditioner, water heater and a set of Chinese cooking utensils, free Internet access, water and electricity.
5. Travel allowance
The school offers one round-trip international air ticket (only for those who enter from abroad and sign a one-year work contract). The total amount of reimbursement will not exceed RMB 8,000 for foreign teachers from Europe, America, Australia and Africa, and RMB 4,000 for foreign teachers from Asia. A travel allowance of RMB 2,200 per academic year will also be provided.
6. Medical Care
The school will purchase social insurance in China for foreign teachers (excluding their accompanying family members) who have been employed for one academic year. Foreign teachers who have been employed for less than one academic year should purchase their own overseas medical insurance before coming to China.
7. Other Benefits
Foreign teachers who are employed for more than one academic year are entitled to the same benefits as school trade union members.
