Offer Description

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student to join our research group (https://blog.metu.edu.tr/zculfaz/) where we work on developing membranes and membrane-based processes for a range of applications including separations in organic solvents, artificial organs and microfluidic systems. Our focus is on developing and understanding membrane formation and mass transport during formation and application of membranes.

The current project will involve hollow-fiber spinning, nanoparticle synthesis, membrane performance characterization, and preliminary hemodialysis testing.

Applicants with a background in chemical or biomedical engineering are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with polymer physics, membrane fabrication, or related areas would be advantageous.
