The University of Roehampton has made a significant investment in our Sustainable Engineering and Technology Education Centre (SETEC) where we currently deliver interdisciplinary undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across a broad range of built environmental disciplines including Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying and Architectural Engineering.
We provide a high-quality educational experience, offering interdisciplinary project-based teaching and learning, across all disciplines, providing a real-life educational experience for students, producing graduates who are genuinely industry ready. We provide the flexible infrastructure and specialist technology-rich equipment to support an ambitious growth plan over the next five years.
The Role
We are recruiting to the role of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Built Environment to join our collaborative and growing team. This is an opportune time to join as the department expands its teaching portfolio and aims to strengthen its connections with industry partners.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and construction-based programmes.
- Contributing to curriculum development and programme administration
- Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate student projects, including industry-linked placements and projects
- Developing and maintaining partnerships with industry to support knowledge transfer activities
The successful candidate will have skills and experience in at least one of the following:
- BIM management and modelling
- Digital construction project management tools
- Construction data analytics and AI
together with:
- A plan for engagement with industry or knowledge transfer activities
- Experience of teaching and assessment in higher education
- Effective communication and the ability to build productive relationships with external stakeholders
