About HBKU

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), was founded in 2010 to continue fulfilling QF’s vision of unlocking human potential. HBKU is a homegrown research-intensive University, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees, that acts as a catalyst for positive transformation in Qatar and the region while having a global impact.

Doha is the home of Education City, a dedicated campus devoted to research and education. About the College of Public Policy

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) established the College of Public Policy in 2019. The College has three degrees (Master of Public Policy, Master of Social Policy and Program Evaluation, Master of Global Health Policy) and Executive Programs. The Master of Global Health Policy (MGHP) program prepares graduates to address complex health challenges through policy analysis, interdisciplinary evidence, stakeholder engagement, ethical leadership, and public-service-oriented decision-making.

Job Description

• Provide academic, strategic, and administrative leadership for the Master of Global Health Policy (MGHP) program.
• Lead the continued development, review, and enhancement of the MGHP curriculum.
• Strengthen and expand partnerships with government entities, international organizations, health institutions.
• Teach graduate-level courses aligned with the MGHP Program Learning Outcomes.
• Supervise graduate student capstone projects, master’s theses, and independent research.
• Maintain an internationally recognized research profile in global health policy, health systems, health governance, health economics, or related fields.
• Lead and secure externally funded research projects.
• Publish in high-impact journals.
• Mentor junior faculty.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• PhD in Global Health Policy, Public Policy, Public Health, Health Economics, or a closely related field.
• Academic qualifications, scholarly standing, and professional experience commensurate with appointment at the rank of Full Professor.
• 12+ years of relevant full-time university teaching, research, and academic leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
