The Full-Time Instructor in Human Nutrition and Food is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and supporting student success within the Human Nutrition and Food Program. This position supports curriculum needs across Nutrition, Health and Wellness and Culinary Arts and Food Management through teaching, academic advising, recruitment, service, and program support activities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach a 5/5 course load in Human Nutrition and Food and related disciplines...
- Advise and mentor students...
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees...
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of instructional and laboratory spaces...
- Collaborate effectively with faculty and staff...
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Food Science, Public Health, Health Administration, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a closely related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of teaching, industry, or professional experience preferred.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Teaching experience in higher education.
- Experience in nutrition education, culinary instruction, food service management, community health initiatives, or wellness programming.
- Professional credentials such as Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN), Licensed Nutritionist, and/or ServSafe Certification.
