Due to unprecedented growth, the SON is currently seeking one Full-Time faculty for a 9-month, non-tenure track position at any rank (clinical assistant professor, clinical associate professor or clinical professor) starting August 2026. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach Behavioral Health Nursing and across multiple levels of the curriculum and engage in collaborative scholarship.
Minimum Requirements:
- PhD or DNP
- Clinical and teaching experience in Behavioral Health Nursing
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a registered nurse in Pennsylvania
- Teaching philosophy commensurate with Duquesne University's mission and values
Preferred Qualifications:
- A DNP or PhD in nursing
- Preference will be given to the candidate with successful teaching experience at the university or college level to include online instruction in Behavioral Health Nursing
- Demonstrated commitment to the profession as evidenced in record of professional leadership or public service, and scholarship
- Certification in advanced practice for area of teaching preferred
Alternatively, the applicants may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential job functions.
