Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Dundee is a research-based degree assessed on a completed thesis and an oral examination. In Geography and Environmental Science we have identified specific themes of expertise, and these attract ambitious, talented students keen to work in these areas. We have an active research environment here in Dundee. We offer research degrees (PhD or MPhil) in a wide variety of topics in Geography (Human and Physical) and Environmental Science. Programme Structure
Research:
- Physical geographers have a key focus on the sensitivity of local and global environmental systems to natural and anthropogenic change.
- Human geographers have particular expertise related to crime, forced labour, health and disability, media, migration, policing, poverty, and security.

Academic Requirements
GPA: Upper Second Class.
English Requirements
TOEFL iBT: 87. TOEFL iBT is accepted by more than 13,000 universities and other institutions in over 160 countries. The test can be taken at a test centre or at home. The test measures your English-language abilities in an academic setting. The score refers to the total score of 4 subjects (writing, listening, speaking, and reading), each subject has a range of 0 - 30.

General requirements
Entry requirements: You should have an honours degree at 2.1 or above, and/or a Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
