Summary:
The Graduate Assistant (GA) contributes to planning, organizing and implementing outreach and engagement programs focused on students and led by the student Eco-Reps program. The GA supports undergraduate program leaders, works with peers at other schools on cross-town education programs, and ensure program alignment with metrics goals.
Essential Functions:
- Partner with undergraduate leaders and sustainability staff to design and implement sustainability outreach and engagement efforts for all students.
- Understand metrics and goals used to monitor outreach and design programs to meet metrics goals.
- Establish marketing plans for events and programs.
- Utilize, update, and create program guides to ensure easy communication, information sharing, and program duplication.
- Manage logistical needs for all outreach.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Part-time.
- 12 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$19.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
- Current American University Graduate Student.
- Bachelors Degree.
- Experience in student programming and/or leadership development.
- Sustainability knowledge.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Flexible scheduling with an expected part-time commitment of up to 12 hours per week Position requires collaboration with students, staff, and campus partners.
- Occasional weekend and evening availability and some availability during regular business hours.
