GROUP LEADER with focus on clinical research in neurology, psychiatry or neurophysiology (or similar)

The Neuroscience Center invites applications from outstanding candidates for GROUP LEADER with focus on clinical research in neurology, psychiatry or neurophysiology (or similar).

The position is with 20-100% FTE depending on the candidate’s primary position and for a fixed term (non tenure track) with 5 + 4 years upon successful external mid-term evaluation.

We are looking for candidates with an excellent track-record of research performance with post-doctoral experience.

The qualifications include:

• PhD degree from a relevant field
• Postdoctoral experience
• Excellent scientific track record in publications and research funding
• Evidence of independence in the relevant field

We expect successful candidates to carry out independent research line, engage in research collaborations and participate in the supervision of students. Candidates should be able to take advantage of collaborative networks available at the Neuroscience Center.

The salary is based on the scale of the Finnish universities for teaching and research personnel, depending upon qualifications, career stage and experience. The position is on the 3rd level of the four-level career system utilized by Finnish universities, and the official job title on the employment contract is "university researcher". A trial period of 6 months is applied.
