Head of the Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) of the CZECRIN Research Infrastructure
(with working hours 40 per week)
Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine in Brno hosts the Central European Advanced Therapy and Immunotherapy Centre (CREATIC CoE), established with the support of the Horizon Europe Teaming for Excellence programme. The Centre was founded in collaboration with Fraunhofer IZI, Leipzig University, and the University of Copenhagen (www.creatic.muni.cz).
An integral part of CREATIC CoE is the Czech Clinical Research Infrastructure Network (CZECRIN), a large research infrastructure that provides coordinated support for clinical research and clinical trials in the Czech Republic and serves as the national hub of the European research infrastructure ECRIN-ERIC.

We are seeking an experienced leader to take on the strategic and scientific leadership of the Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) within the CZECRIN research infrastructure. The successful candidate will be capable of combining strategic vision, expertise in clinical research, people management skills, and the ability to foster collaboration with research teams, hospitals, and other partners.
The scope of your work will be:
- Providing strategic and scientific leadership of the Clinical Trials Centre (CTC), including the management of a portfolio of national and international clinical trials.
- Leading and managing a multidisciplinary CTC team that provides comprehensive support for academic clinical trials.
- Ensuring the quality of services delivered and compliance of all activities with Czech and EU legislation, ICH-GCP requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Coordinating regulatory processes with the Czech State Institute for Drug Control (SÚKL), ethics committees, and other relevant authorities.
- Planning, continuously evaluating, and efficiently allocating CTC staff resources across professional roles to ensure the high-quality and timely conduct of clinical trials.
- Expanding and developing the CTC service portfolio across the entire clinical trial lifecycle, including educational and training activities.
- Establishing, continuously optimizing, and standardizing internal CTC processes with a focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance with international standards.
- Actively contributing to the development of academic clinical research in the Czech Republic and to the implementation of the strategic activities of the national research infrastructure CZECRIN.
- Representing CZECRIN at professional conferences, meetings, and working groups both in the Czech Republic and internationally.
Required qualification:
- University degree (a background in healthcare, pharmacy, or life sciences is an advantage).
- At least 8 years of experience in the field of clinical trials; experience in project management and leadership of professional teams is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of European and Czech clinical trial regulations and legislation (including Regulation (EU) No. 536/2014 and ICH-GCP).
- Familiarity with project management, quality management, and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent command of Czech, both written and spoken.
- Proficient command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong sense of responsibility, ability to work independently, and high ethical standards.
