Job Description

The Head Superintendent for Athletic Fields shall be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the athletic practice and playing fields and all appropriate equipment and supplies.

Preferred Qualifications

• bachelors degree and successful background in turf management preferred;
• experience operating applicable machinery preferred.

Job Duties

• Maintain the following fields in excellent condition: Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Track & Field, Lacrosse game and practice, Intramural and the Golf Driving Range;
• Maintenance specifically to include mowing, fertilize treatments, chemical spraying for weeds, aeration, top dressing (with assistance from coaching staff), and over seeding;
• General oversight of maintenance of equipment (reel mowers, gators, sprayers, etc.) coordinated with our maintenance department or others as appropriate;
• Maintenance of equipment to include regular greasing, oil changes, reel sharpening and cleaning as recommended;
• During primary growing seasons, the coaching staff may be called upon on an as needed basis to assist in these job responsibilities.
