The Sioux Falls VA Medical Center is seeking a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist to join our collaborative team and provide comprehensive cancer care to our nation's Veterans.

Your Practice
As a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist, you will evaluate and manage Veterans with a broad range of hematologic and oncologic conditions and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating, triaging, and prioritizing Hematology/Oncology consultations
- Ordering and overseeing systemic and chemotherapeutic therapies
- Performing bone marrow aspirations and biopsies
- Interpreting pathology, imaging, molecular, and genomic testing
- Coordinating multidisciplinary treatment planning
- Participating in tumor boards
- Providing survivorship and long-term follow-up care
- Conducting goals-of-care discussions and collaborating closely with Hospice and Palliative Care
- Providing clinical supervision and support to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
- Supporting infusion center operations
- Providing on-call coverage as needed
You will also have opportunities to participate in clinical trials, research, teaching, quality improvement, clinical outcome tracking, and the development of institutional treatment protocols and pathways.
