High Energy Theory Postdoc
The High Energy Theory Group (HET) has active programs in many areas of theoretical particle physics, including neutrino physics, Beyond the Standard Model phenomenology, precision calculations for the LHC and intensity frontier, overlaps of particle physics and cosmology, and lattice gauge theory.
The successful candidate will conduct research focused on precision tests of the Standard Model and/or beyond the Standard Model physics at the proposed Electron-Ion collider, with priority given to those demonstrating high intellectual merit and willingness to use machine learning and/or AI techniques.
Essential Duties:
- Develop an impactful research portfolio including studies for the Electron-Ion collider.
- Propose, plan, and perform scientific investigations in Particle Physics.
- Demonstrate research experience through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Disseminate research results via manuscripts and presentations.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ph.D. in theoretical physics with expertise in high energy physics.
- Demonstrated abilities in advanced computational techniques.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for formulating research ideas.
- Ability to communicate research progress and collaborate effectively.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with cutting-edge tools in high-energy computations.
- Track record of publications and presentations.
