DePauw University is a private, residential, liberal arts campus of 1700 students. The Housing and Residence Life Coordinator will participate as a member of the Housing and Residence Life team, whose primary purpose is to implement the guiding principles of how students live at DePauw University. This position is responsible for supporting the mission of the University, the Division of Student Affairs and the goals of the department. The Housing and Residence Life Coordinator position is a full-time, live-in appointment responsible for providing departmental support and project facilitation in the areas of supervision, administration, and community support.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

Community Support:

• Contribute to the development of healthy, inclusive residential living environments by intentionally and regularly interacting with resident students.
• Assess the individual needs of resident students and staff as well as the needs of the community as a whole by interacting in both group and one-on-one settings concerning their campus involvement, engagement, academics, and future endeavors.

Administration and Operations:

• Collaborate with other departments to support campus-wide initiatives and serve on various University committees.

Student Supervision:

• Supervise and intentionally support student staff by facilitating purposeful interactions and assist in the coordination and development of educational sessions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education, Counseling, or related field preferred.

Experience: Experience working in housing and residence life is preferred.
