Write, edit, and proofread assigned documents, including
memorandums, marketing materials, technical guides, and website
copy;
Perform routine updates to HR's website as requested by
department colleagues and leadership;
Manage the HR communications email inbox, including referring
complex issues to appropriate contacts as necessary;
Update HR's social media channels according to communication
plans and/or supervisor direction;
Create graphics or visuals, including logos or other visual
communication elements; and
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong writing and editing skills, preferably in a
deadline-based environment;
- Ability to translate technical policies into plain and engaging
language based on target audiences' needs;
- Experience with web content management systems such as
WordPress or Drupal;
- Experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe
Illustrator;
- Ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines in a
fast-paced environment;
- Ability to handle confidential or highly sensitive information
with discretion;
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to collaborate across teams/departments and maintain
effective working relationships; and
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs, particularly Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English,
or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and
experience;
- Higher education, public workforce, or human resources
experience;
- Working knowledge of web design and/or web accessibility;
and
- Experience managing professional social media accounts,
including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter/X.
