Advertised Job Summary
Under general supervision from the Finance and HR Director, performs a variety of comprehensive HR functions in support of the South Carolina Honors College (SCHC). Ensure operational accuracy and efficiency by initiating, managing and monitoring assigned and delegated HR activities. All work adheres to USC HR polices, State of SC HR regulations and applicable federal HR law and regulations specific to higher education.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of USC HR polices, State of SC HR regulations and applicable federal HR law and regulations specific to higher education.
- Prior experience in cross-functional HR program management.

- Applicants must have the ability to function in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- The successful candidate will be well organized, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to deal diplomatically with various constituent groups.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret information accurately are critical.
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to human resources.
- Able to analyze requests to determine compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
