HSC Lab Worker - LARC
Position Description
A non-recurring job having an appointment for less than four and one-half months with a nature of work consistent with that found in a clinical or research laboratory.
The duration of this position will be June 1st to July 3rd.
Major/Essential Functions
- Assisting the Veterinarian and Veterinary technicians with routine diagnostic and medical care of animals within the LARC.
- Working with rodent populations in both breeding capacities, as well as necropsy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in laboratory animal care in a research setting with emphasis on rodent care.
- Experience in patient monitoring during surgical procedures.
- Some exposure or experience in rodent necropsy.
- Experience in managing rodent breeding colonies.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
