HSC Research Aide - Brashear Womens UTI Rsrch
Performs specialized work in conducting original research. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project.
Major/Essential Functions
- Develop microfluidic sensors for leukocyte activation in urine.
- Perform cell isolation/separation from samples for phenotyping.
- Collect generations of data for publications, co-authoring manuscripts for peer review.
- Conduct cytometry, genomics, and other biochemical assays of antigen expression in activated leukocytes.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree particular field of science or engineering.
Preferred Qualifications: BS (Bachelor of Science) or MS (Master of Science) in the area of project specialization. Experience with modern research practices (methods, resources, and standards). Experience in integrating resources, policies, and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes.
