Human Resources Assistant - Part Time
Human Resources Assistant: Are you a detail-oriented, self-motivated student who takes pride in helping others? In this role, you will support the Human Resources team with onboarding processes, including Form I-9 compliance, as well as general administrative and file maintenance tasks. Your attention to detail and ability to take initiative will play an important role in supporting a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new employees.
Responsibilities
Human Resources Assistant Primary Responsibilities:
- Support onboarding processes, including coordination and completion of Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification)
- Review and process updates to employee records in HR systems
- Assist with organizing, auditing, and cleaning up employee files to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Respond to incoming email requests and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with a high level of integrity
- Support scheduling and coordination of appointments
- Assist with general administrative tasks, including correspondence and data entry
- Participate in special projects within the Human Resources department as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. One year full-time customer service experience or equivalency, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.

Preferences
Human Resources Assistant Preferences
- Background in customer service, data entry, and/or administrative support
- Experience with Excel or familiarity with data organization and file management
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and manage tasks independently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (calendar and appointment scheduling)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience with Form I-9, data entry, or human resources is a plus, but not required
