Job Summary
This position manages components of the college's human resource functions and engages with assigned departments and campus leadership in a manner that supports Dalton State College's commitment to our mission and student success. Specifically, the HR Business Partner collaborates with stakeholders, campus leadership and other HR resources to develop and implement initiatives that support attainment of institution and HR goals within the departments. This position helps support a positive campus culture acting as both a change agent and champion for employee engagement, talent acquisition, professional development and retention. This position also serves the departments through benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and policy implementation.

Responsibilities
Strategic - 25
- Maintains institutional compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Assists institutional administrators in developing organizational strategies; identifies and researches human resource issues and best practices; contributes information, analyzes, and recommends to organization strategic thinking and direction; assists in aligning human resource operations, programs and services to meet organization objectives.
- Prepares, disseminates and/or delivers a variety of reports, communications, workshops, information sessions and/or training.
- Provides reporting and data management by tracking and analyzing key metrics to enhance and support HR service delivery.
Consultative - 40
- Manages the recruitment and selection process for assigned departments.
- Manages all aspects that span the employment life cycle, including employee wellness and benefits programs, leave administration and retirement counsel.
- Manages a variety of HRIS/HCM functions.
- Manages performance management processes, employee training and development, and employee relations.
Partnership - 25
- Serves as a first point of contact for assigned departments to support strengthened employee relationships and engagement.
- Participates in planning, executing and managing HR projects and initiatives.
- Works in partnership with HR leadership to develop and establish a culture that advocates collaboration, accountability, and employee recognition.
Related Duties - 10
- May serve in the role of managing supplies and purchasing duties; well-being liaison; ethics liaison; benefits liaison; responding to HR Surveys; and other roles as needed.
- Performs Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) searches as applicable. This pertains to certified Business Partners.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, or a combination of education and human resources experience.
Required Experience
More than three years of related experience required.
