Department Information
The College of Lifetime Learning is the seventh college and first to be established in over thirty years at Georgia Institute of Technology. The College seeks to elevate the academic study of learning and transform how individuals and organizations understand and practice learning at all levels and ages. We are seeking an experienced human resources coordinator to support the mission and vision of the College of Lifetime Learning. The Human Resources Coordinator will provide senior transactional support in the areas of employee communication, transaction tracking, onboarding, offboarding, position management, pay changes, etc. This transactional HR role will be part of the new centralized HR model to ensure consistent practices and guidance across the college. The ideal candidate would be skilled in customer service, time management, analytical thinking, and attention to detail. Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft or Workday is a plus.

Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and provide services to support the effective operations of the organization's HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Job Duty 1 - Review and coordinate process of hiring requests from unit management.
  • Job Duty 2 - Coordinate activities associated with employee on-boarding and orientation; May assist with recruitment efforts and selection process.
  • Job Duty 3 - Respond to inquiries regarding Institute and departmental HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate.
  • Job Duty 4 - Review and recommend revision to unit level HR processes as appropriate.
  • Job Duty 5 - Maintain employees' record maintenance and transactions including salary, job, termination and other related changes.
  • Job Duty 6 - Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised HR related policies and procedures within unit.
  • Job Duty 7 - Initiate and/or process HR-related documentation (hiring packages, posting requests, schedules and reports, etc.)
  • Job Duty 8 - Serve as a unit-level contact for HR-related processes and procedures.
  • Job Duty 9 - Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Associate's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Experience
Three or more years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Certifications or licenses preferred: PHR, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent.

Salary range: $23.02-$33.22
Location: Atlanta, GA
Job grade: G05
