- The Graduate School for the Humanities offers training for PhD students. Here you can find everything related to admission and doing a PhD at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Groningen.
- A distinction is made between internal and external candidates. If you applied for a PhD position advertised by the university, you are an internal candidate.
- The finances are provided by the university in the form of a PhD scholarship, or by a grant acquired by the university from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research NWO, or the European Science Foundation ESF, etc.
