Position Summary: The Infrastructure Compliance and Procurement Specialist provides operational and administrative support for the Colleges technology infrastructure, procurement processes, telecommunications systems, and information security compliance initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating technology purchasing activities, maintaining procurement records, supporting and administering the Colleges Voice over IP (VoIP) telecommunications environment, and assisting with the development and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, standards, and compliance documentation.
Working collaboratively with Information Technology Services staff, business units, vendors, and external partners, the incumbent helps ensure that technology resources are acquired efficiently, managed responsibly, and aligned with institutional and regulatory requirements. The position supports infrastructure operations while contributing to the Colleges technology governance, risk management, and compliance efforts.
Required Education/Experience:
- Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in technology support, telecommunications administration, purchasing, compliance administration, or a related field.
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience supporting VoIP systems in an enterprise environment.
- Experience with public sector or higher education procurement processes.
- Experience working with information security policies, compliance frameworks, or audit activities.
- Relevant industry certifications such as:
- CompTIA Security+
- Network+
- Project Management certifications

Duty and Responsibility: Procurement and Asset Management
- Prepare, process, and track technology purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and related procurement documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors, purchasing staff, and departmental stakeholders to ensure timely acquisition of hardware, software, licensing, maintenance renewals, and technology services.
- Maintain technology contract documentation, warranty information, and asset management databases.
- Assist in budget monitoring and preparation of procurement reports.
- Support vendor management activities and contract renewal processes.
- Ensure procurement practices comply with College policies, state purchasing regulations, and established technology standards.
Duty and Responsibility: Telecommunications and Infrastructure Support
- Administer and support the Colleges Voice over IP (VoIP) telecommunications systems.
- Configure, provision, troubleshoot, and maintain telephone extensions, call routing, voicemail services, and related telecommunications components. This also include working with internal stakeholders to support routing and switching for voice VLAN.
- Coordinate telecommunications service requests, moves, additions, and changes.
- Work with vendors and service providers to resolve telecommunications issues and maintain service reliability.
- Assist with infrastructure projects involving networking, telecommunications, and related technologies.
- Maintain documentation for telecommunications systems, procedures, and configurations.
Duty and Responsibility: Compliance and Information Security
- Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of information security procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives and documentation efforts.
- Assist with security assessments, audits, risk management activities, and remediation tracking.
- Maintain records associated with regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Participate in developing and updating disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response documentation.
- Monitor policy review schedules and coordinate document updates with subject matter experts.
Duty and Responsibility: General Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain technical and procedural documentation.
- Participate in technology projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency and compliance.
