- Participate in discipline-related activities such as program
evaluation, curriculum design, and outcomes assessment and
evaluation.
- Follow guidelines from program director to ensure consistent
content coverage and student experience across multiple sections of
a course.
- Provide support to the program director and clinical
coordinator as needed.
- Engage in continuing education for the maintenance of
credentials and accreditation requirements.
- Faculty members are expected to serve on departmental, campus,
and/or college committees, hold office hours, advise students,
participate in course and program assessment, and maintain an
active personal program of professional development and continuous
learning.
- Faculty may be assigned non-instructional duties in place of
course instruction.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Health Information Management, Health
Administration or related.
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered
Health Information Administrator (RHIA) certification.
- Two (2) years professional experience in health information
management, health informatics or related experience.
- Experience integrating technology into course delivery
including use of a Learning Management System and utilizing Zoom
for synchronous remote course delivery.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting belonging, inclusion, and
multicultural competence in an educational and work
environment.
- Demonstrated effective collaboration with colleagues.
- Eligible applicants must currently be authorized to work in the
United States and not require employer visa sponsorship .
Preferred Qualifications:
- CCS, CCS- P or CPC certification in medical coding.
- Prior teaching experience in Health Information Management or
related
- Evidence of commitment to professional development and
scholarly activities.
Hiring Range: $64,510 - $98,220
