Position Highlights
This position involves serving as a learning facilitator for the laboratory sections of undergraduate Human Anatomy and Physiology courses (PSIO 201 or 202) offered by the Physiology Department in fall 2026 and spring 2027. Learning facilitators will coordinate laboratory activities, oversee group work, present slides, answer questions from groups of students or individuals, and relate laboratory activities to lecture material during each lab session.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate laboratory activities to ensure alignment with course objectives, support group work by providing guidance and resources to enhance student collaboration, assist in presenting slides and addressing questions from groups or individuals, and facilitate the connection between laboratory activities and lecture material to reinforce key concepts during each lab session.
- Coordinate weekly preparation meetings for instructional staff to ensure alignment with course objectives, instructional design strategies, and consistent delivery of content across multiple sections.
- Facilitate the creation and application of assessments, review grading practices to ensure alignment with educational objectives, and provide faculty support in refining grading systems and improving assessment efficiency.
- Contribute to lab set up and clean up, hold office hours, proctor lecture exams, proctor make-up assessments, and participate in the final grades meeting.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physiology or a related field of Biology.
- Completion of Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (PSIO 201 and PSIO 202) at the University of Arizona. Teaching experience as a preceptor, tutor, supplemental instruction leader, or similar.
