Job Description:
Worcester State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty member in Management and Business Analytics beginning fall 2027.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, student success, scholarship, and service. The Department seeks a faculty member who can contribute to both undergraduate and graduate business programs and teach across multiple areas of the curriculum. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial studies.
Responsibilities include teaching courses such as Entrepreneurial Management, Principles of Management, Business Information Systems and Applications, Analytical Techniques in Business, Operations Management, Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Small Business Management, and related subjects; advising and mentoring students; participating in curriculum development and assessment; engaging in departmental and university service; and maintaining an active program of scholarly and professional achievement.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a closely related business discipline from an accredited institution (ABD considered if degree requirements will be completed prior to appointment).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Ability to teach across multiple areas of the business curriculum.
- Experience incorporating technology, analytics, and experiential learning into the classroom.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time, benefited, exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and discipline, with a minimum established by the Appendix O of the MSCA contract. The anticipated start date for this position is September 1, 2027.
