Instructor, Land Surveying - Physical Sciences Tenure Track - Fall 2026 (REVISED)
Job Summary
This position will teach undergraduate classes in Land Surveying and Geomatics. These will include civil engineering (CEE), construction engineering management (CEM), upper-division computer-aided design (CADD), and land surveying (SURV) courses. Candidates must also have knowledge in surveying concepts such as static GNSS surveys, imaging stations, understanding of datum, licensing laws and the land surveying profession. Candidates must also have knowledge of GIS and CADD as applied to land surveying and geomatics. Outdoor field work is required.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Land Surveying and/or Geomatics or equivalent program from an accredited college or university and 10 years of comparable professional experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Holder of a currently active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) License. Must maintain licensure at own expense.
Preferred Qualifications
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience who bring professional capabilities and those with the ability to build connections with industry and foster new relationships.
