The Northern State University Art Department is seeking applications for an Instructor/Lecturer in undergraduate Art and Design.

Qualifications:

• MFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Painting, Printmaking, or Drawing, or closely related field.
• Preferred evidence of creative achievement in contemporary practices.
• Preferred two years teaching experience as higher education instructor of record in Art.

Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate level art classes in Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Digital Illustration, and Art Appreciation as needed.
• Engage with contemporary art practices and pedagogy.
• Serve on University Committees as assigned.
• Participate in department activities including recruitment, student advising and mentoring, department planning, field trips and student advocacy.
